Key objectives.
Spotlight on Women in Biomechanics
We aim to make women in science more visible, to make science more accessible to the public, and to encourage the next generation of women scientists to pursue biomechanics. We release ‘Member Spotlights’ and ‘Paper of the Quarter’ tweet threads on Social Media, and share a newsletter to promote our members’ research to a broader audience.
Resources and Blogs
We host a member-written blog where members disseminate their advice and opinions on various topics, with several focusing on career and professional development.
Conference Meet-ups
We collaborate with professional biomechanics societies’ conferences on “Women in Science” events. We also host IWB social events at biomechanics conferences for our community to network and meet each other in person!
