Maisie is a research assistant in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. She is in the final stages of her PhD in rehabilitation engineering which has a focus on the biomechanics of the gait of chronic stroke patients using a fusion of motion capture technology and IMUs. She has a Masters in Biofluid Mechanics and an undergraduate degree in Chemistry. Maisie is passionate about STEM outreach and entrepreneurship. She hopes to contribute to advancing the aims of the IWB group and supporting new and existing members.
